On a late afternoon in May, I went out to the garden to cut some roses for the house. Just as I was about to snip the stem of one hefty bloom, I saw something dark between the petals. Peering closer I could see a fuzzy bee covered in pollen. It had fallen asleep after a long day. Can you imagine the luxury of sleeping in an aromatic rose as it rocks in the breeze?
